Assembly and Installation
Bridgeport columns should be erected to meet the most current requirement of the American Institute of Steel Construction. Care should be taken not to disfigure or damage protective shells on Bridgeport columns.

Maintenance
Durable and maintenance free. The durable steel shell on Bridgeport columns is an exclusive feature of this column development. The shell acts like a protective guard during handling and erection. It provides a large degree of ruggedness not available in ordinary columns. The unique Bridgeport column can be exposed to weather with just normal paint. Due to the steel strength, Bridgeport columns are utilized in parking garages and garage doorways with added protective sheaths.
